The new system diagnostics of cancer from the Russian scientists

Russian scientists from several research centers have been developing a new approach to identifying cancer. In particular, they have created a biochip for the detection of colon cancer. This type of cancer is very common, and its diagnosis at the moment is a unpleasant procedure, or does not give a sufficient degree of reliability.

New biochip from the Russian scientists is microplastic, which includes specific antibodies. The new system may be more likely to diagnose bowel cancer. The scientists also suggest the use of microchips coated with biological molecules, which are able to react to the antibodies produced by the body if it contains cancer process.

New methods are not introduced in clinical practice, however, tests showed that their sensitivity is 87% and the accuracy reaches 95%, far higher than traditional methods.
