Early diagnosis of cancer in Primorye — the reality

In the Primorsky territory administration reported that now the residents of Primorye not to apply to other regions of Russia or abroad in order to be diagnosed of cancer.

The nuclear medicine Centre already installed PET scanner that can identify cancerous processes in the early stages. Now you can count that 300 people a year will be able to obtain such assistance. It is planned to install two more such scanner. This will help to ensure early diagnosis of all in need.

The nuclear medicine centre is being created on the island of Russian. It is planned to carry out a full cycle of positron emission tomography and to produce radioactive isotopes for treatment of cancer. When the Center is fully equipped, you will be able to get help to 12 000 patients from Primorye and other regions. And services for residents of Russia will be free at the expense of Fund of obligatory medical insurance.
