One of the types of malignancies – squamous cell skin cancer (cancer spinocellular, spinalioma, squamous cell epithelioma). The tumor formed from the cells of the spiny layer of the epidermis.

Found the disease in any part of the body, but most often in open, not protected by clothing sections, mostly squamous cell carcinoma of the skin. This kind of skin cancer more malignant than basal or melanoma, but is much rarer.

Squamous cell carcinoma often affects the elderly. It occurs on the background of pathological changes of the skin, scars from burns or trauma, chronic inflammatory diseases of the skin. Skin damage sunlight also contributes to the development of this form of skin cancer.

The symptoms of squamous cell carcinoma of the skin:

  • The appearance of small growths on the skin
  • Possible bleeding from the hearth,
  • Rapid progression of tumors.
