Petersburg oncologists do not recommend to visit in winter in hot countries

Chief oncologist of St. Petersburg Professor Vladimir Moiseenko believes that the skin of the inhabitants of this region in the winter are not ready to take sun exposure which is inevitable in countries with hot climate and abundance of sunshine, such as in Egypt.

A trip to a hot country in winter can be not only cause sunburn, but also provoking factor for skin cancer.

Professor Moiseenko stressed that a couple of decades ago cases of pediatric melanoma are practically not met.

Today in connection with an active family trips to the resorts with a hot climate in winter, the situation has deteriorated, because children's skin is particularly sensitive to insolation.
